Default DoN Progression FAQ & Good/Evil Checklists

========
What is DoN Progression?
========
DoN Progression is a series of solo tasks, group tasks and raids that give you spells and AA’s that are not purchase-able or earnable in any other way. All DoN Progression related tasks are gotten from NPC's in Lavastorm.Your character will, according to their race be either one of two factions for DoN Progression – Good & Evil.

========
How Does DoN Progression Work?
========

DoN progression is divided into a series of 5 tiers. Each tier consists of a combination of solo tasks, group tasks, and raids of varying sizes. At the end of each tier you will receive two AA’s one of which is a specific DoN AA. In addition on Tier 2 you will receive a class specific spell/tome which is not attainable by any other means.

========
What are the Tiers?
========
Tier 1 consists of 3 solo tasks and 1 group task. The end result is the AA “Gift of the Keepers” (good) “Gift of the Dark Reign” (evil) which gives +10 to all stats and +10 to all stat caps

Tier 2 consists of 3 solo tasks, 1 group task and 1 24man content raid. The end result is the AA “Value of the Keepers” (good) “Tenacity of the Dark Reign” (evil) which gives 250 hp/mana/end as well as 69th level spell/tome for your class

Tier 3 consists of 3 solo tasks, 1 group task, 1 24man content raid and 1 42 man content raid. The end result is the AA “Embrace of the Keepers” (good) “Embrace of the Dark Reign” (evil) which increases your buff slot limit by 1

Tier 4 consists of 1 24 man content raid, 1 42man content raid and 1 54 man content raid. The end result is the AA “Power of the Keepers” (good) “Power of the Dark Reign” (evil) which increase chance to critical heal, critical hi, critical DD/ DoT by 3%

Tier 5 consists of 1group event, 1 24 man content raid and 1 54 man content raid. The end result is the AA “Sanctity of the Keepers “ (good) “Fever of the Dark Reign” (evil) which increase chance to resist a detrimental spell

There are two checklists on the GoBerserker site in which to track your progression. Good and Evil.

========
Do I have To Do the Tiers in Order?
========

This is one of those yes and no answers.

Yes you must them in order in able to request the next mission and/or do the turn ins. For example, in order to request the solo missions and group task of Tier 2 you must have completed Tier 1.

All solo missions are collection quests. And as such the actual collection of the items is a step in the quest meaning you must have that quest to get credit. You can not loot prior to having the task.

No, in that if there is someone that has the ability to request a group task or raid you may participate. In a group task you will receive an “invisible” flag and when you get to that tier and speak with the appropriate person you will receive credit. While in a raid if you loot the item required you can turn it in when you get to that tier. As well, you can not turn in say the raid drop from tier 4 if you are only on tier 2.

========
Does it Matter Which Faction You Are?
========

No it doesn’t matter in the end what faction you are.

All good tasks, missions & raids will be requested through the good side while the evil tasks, missions & raids will be requested through the evil side.

While the solo and group tasks in the DoN progression have different names they are remarkably similar. The raids required for the progression are exactly the same and can be requested on either side with the only difference being the faction token & crystal type received.

The same is true with DoN missions that you can do that are not part of the progression there is both a good and evil version of them all with the difference being the faction token & crystal type received.

========
Can I Do a Task, Mission or Raid of the Opposing Faction to Mine?
========

Yes, you can do a task, mission or raid of the opposing faction without it affecting your faction. You would just destroy rather than turn in the faction token you receive at the end of the mission. As you can buy items through either the good or evil merchants it is at times desirable to do missions of the opposing faction to get these crystals.

========
Does it Matter What Level Faction I Have?
========

Yes, it does matter. Certain missions and raids can only be requested if you have high enough faction with that camp.

========
What are the Faction Levels? And How Can I Check Mine?
========

When you approach anyone in your chosen Alliance Faction camp (Good or Evil) con anyone in the camp to check your faction. The faction ladder is as follows:

1. Ready to Attack
2. Threatening
3. Dubious
4. Apprehensive
5. Indifferent
6. Amiable
7. Kindly
8. Warmly
9. Ally

========
How Can I Raise My Faction?
========

There are three ways to increase your chosen Alliance faction (either Good or Evil). You can do any of them or any combination of them.

Solo Tasks

There are a variety of tasks that you can do when first starting out that will give you good faction. Along with faction, you will also receive platinum and experience as a reward. To get these solo tasks, head to the Wayfarers / Mercenary Task Camp in the Lavastorm. You can talk to any of the NPCs Hail one and pick a task you like and get to work.

In addition if you have high enough faction (indifferent) the solo tasks that are part of the DoN progression also earn you faction.

Missions

Missions are group tasks (require a min of 3 people to request). There are a variety of missions you can chose to do, the NPCs that start these missions. The good missions are in the good camp, Evil in the evil camp which are on opposite sides of the Dragon’s head zone in to the Broodlands.

These range from simple missions such as collecting items and killing NPCs, to complicated multistep missions. As your faction progresses, more NPCs will talk to you and give you a larger selection of missions.

These missions are both non progression and progression.

ALT Q will bring up your task/mission window. Once you are indifferent to the mission’s giver, you can “hail” him. A box will pop open and you can pick a task. Once the task is selected, you can view the details of the task by opening the task window (alt Q) and click on the task. It will then show you what is needed or what you need to do. It will also show you the rewards, which is a token (for faction), and crystals (used to buy stuff). After getting a mission, you need to go to the Broodlands. Once you zone in, your compass will have a mark showing you’re the direction to the instanced zone for your mission. Once your group is ready, zone into the instanced zone and follow the directions of the mission.

When done with these missions, you will receive a token in your hand along with Radiant (good) or Ebon (Evil) crystals used to buy armor, augments, and spells with. Go back to the camp and hand your token into the merchant NPC.

Killing Guards
There is one last way to achieve your desired faction - killing Guards. For good faction kill the guards located in the evil camp and the reverse for evil faction. There are 4 of them, and they are leashed if you get into trouble. However, they do summon if below 97% in hit points.
